How to uninstall Trend Micro on a Mac.

Trend Micro installs its own uninstaller, which you can find with Spotlight. Save your serial number first if you'll reinstall.

Uninstall Trend Micro

Make a note of your Trend Micro serial number.
Press ⌘Space, type Trend Micro and open Uninstall Trend Micro Antivirus.
Enter your Mac password and click Uninstall.
Click OK when it's done.

If that fails, Trend Micro offers UninstallTool on its help centre: open it, tick I have copied my serial number, click Uninstall, and enter your password so it can remove the Trend Micro extension.

Afterwards

Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Trend Micro; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.

Then check for anything Trend Micro left behind.
