How to uninstall Intego on a Mac.
Intego says dragging its apps to the Trash isn't enough. Use the Uninstall item on Intego's installer disk image, and deauthorize first if you want to use your licence on another Mac.

- To keep your licence for another Mac: open VirusBarrier and choose VirusBarrier › Deauthorize VirusBarrier…. Doing it once covers all Intego apps.
- Open the Intego installer disk image. If you no longer have it, download the latest from Intego's downloads page.
- Double-click Uninstall and follow the prompts. It also removes the NetUpdate menu-bar icon.
If you've already deleted some Intego files by hand, Intego says only part of it gets removed: reinstall first, then run Uninstall.
Afterwards
- Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Intego; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
- Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.

Then check for anything Intego left behind.
Once the app is gone, Pangalin Uninstaller's free Leftovers scan lists files left behind by apps that are no longer installed, by name and size. Apple's files are never included. It also shows where each one is and moves the ones you choose to the Trash in one go, with Undo.
