How to uninstall Backblaze on a Mac.
Backblaze's uninstall command is hidden in its menu-bar menu until you hold Option. If you can't reach it, the Backblaze installer also includes an uninstaller.
Uninstall Backblaze
- Hold Option.
- Click the Backblaze icon in the menu bar.
- Choose Uninstall. Backblaze removes itself.
No menu-bar icon? Download the Mac installer from Backblaze's site, open it and click Backblaze Uninstaller.
Removing the app doesn't cancel your Backblaze subscription or delete backups already stored with Backblaze; manage those in your Backblaze account.
Afterwards
- Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Backblaze; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
- Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.

Then check for anything Backblaze left behind.
