How to uninstall Setapp on a Mac.
Setapp has its own uninstall command, which asks whether to remove the Setapp apps too. Uninstalling doesn't cancel your subscription.
Uninstall Setapp
- In Setapp, choose Help › Uninstall….
- Choose Uninstall Completely (Setapp and its apps) or Keep Applications.
Setapp's apps stop working once Setapp is gone. If you dragged Setapp to the Trash and it's still running, Setapp offers a separate SetappUninstaller on its support site.
Your subscription stays active. Setapp says uninstalling doesn't cancel it; cancel it in your Setapp account.
Afterwards
- Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Setapp; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
- Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.

Then check for anything Setapp left behind.
