How to uninstall Focusrite Control on a Mac.
Focusrite Control is removed with a drag to the Trash. Focusrite also describes removing its installer receipts, which you need to do before installing Focusrite Control 2.
Uninstall Focusrite Control
- Quit Focusrite Control.
- In Finder, open Applications, Control-click Focusrite Control and choose Move to Trash.
- Choose Go › Go to Folder, type
/var/db/receipts, and move these to the Trash (Finder asks for your password):com.focusrite.FocusriteControl,com.focusrite.pkg.FocusritePCIe.audio_driverandcom.focusrite.pkg.FocusritePCIe.midi_driver, each as a.bomand a.plistfile. - Empty the Trash and restart.
Afterwards
- Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Focusrite; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
- Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.
More audio software: uninstalling audio plug-ins and Native Instruments.

Then check for anything Focusrite Control left behind.
Once the app is gone, Pangalin Uninstaller's free Leftovers scan lists files left behind by apps that are no longer installed, by name and size. Apple's files are never included. It also shows where each one is and moves the ones you choose to the Trash in one go, with Undo.
