How to activate your licence.
After you buy Pangalin Space Manager, your licence key arrives by email in about a minute. Activating it takes a few seconds, works offline and needs no account.
Pangalin Uninstaller is free from version 1.6, with nothing to activate. Everything in it works without a licence.
Your licence email
- Look for the subject “Your Pangalin Space Manager licence”.
- The key is one long line of letters and numbers with a single dot in it. Always copy the whole line.
- No email after 10 minutes? Check your spam or promotions folder, then see lost licence key.
Install the app first if you haven't yet (how to install), and open it once to accept the terms.
Pangalin Space Manager: one click
- On the Mac where Pangalin Space Manager is installed, open the licence email and click Activate on this Mac.
- Your browser opens a pangalin.com page and asks to open Pangalin Space Manager. Click Open Pangalin Space Manager (the button name depends on your browser).
- Pangalin Space Manager opens and shows your licence: “Licensed to your name”, with the renewal date. Click OK.
The key stays in your browser: it's in the part of the link after “#”, which browsers never send to any server, including ours.
Pangalin Space Manager: paste the key
Use this if the button didn't open the app, or you're reading the email on another device.
- Copy the whole key from the email.
- In Pangalin Space Manager, choose Pangalin Space Manager › Settings… (⌘,) and click Licence.
- Paste the key (or the whole activation link) into the Key field and click Activate. You'll see “Licence activated.”
You can also click I have a key in the bar at the bottom of the main window, paste the key and click Activate.
Good to know
- Offline: Pangalin Space Manager checks the key on your Mac. Activating sends nothing to us and works without an internet connection.
- Every Mac you own: use the same key on each of your own Macs. See another Mac or a new Mac.
- After a renewal: each year we email you a new key when your subscription renews. Activate it the same way.
- Removing a key: Settings › Licence › Remove licence key from this Mac. You're then on the free version: scanning and History still work, and any of your free 5 GB you haven't used can still be used.
If it doesn't work
- “Didn't verify” or the key isn't accepted: copy the key again, making sure you have the whole line and no extra spaces. Some email apps wrap long lines, so copying from the grey box in the email is easiest.
- The Activate button opens a page but not the app: make sure Pangalin Space Manager is installed in Applications and is version 3.44 or later (how to update). Then use Try opening again on that page, or Copy key and paste it as above.
- It says the licence has expired: your subscription may have ended, or you're using last year's key. Use the key from your most recent licence email, or check your subscription. Pangalin Space Manager keeps working for 7 days after a subscription ends while you renew. After that, it goes back to the free version, and any of your free 5 GB you hadn't used can still be used.
