How to uninstall Webex on a Mac.
Cisco provides a separate Webex Uninstaller for the Mac, with versions for Apple silicon and Intel. It can keep or remove your Webex user data.
Uninstall Webex
- Download the Webex Uninstaller for your Mac (Apple silicon or Intel) from Cisco's help article “Uninstall Webex App on macOS” at help.webex.com.
- Open it. If Webex is running, it asks you to close it.
- Click OK. Tick Keep the user files and data if you might reinstall Webex.
- Enter your Mac password.
By hand
Cisco also describes a manual removal: move Webex from Applications to the Trash, delete the Webexteams_upgrades_arm folder (Apple silicon) or Webexteams_upgrades (Intel) in ~/Library/Application Support/Cisco Spark, delete ~/Library/Caches/Cisco-Systems.Spark, then empty the Trash and restart.
Afterwards
- Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Webex; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
- Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.
Based on Cisco's own Webex help articles, checked October 2026. Menu names can change between versions.
Then check for anything Webex left behind.
Once the app is gone, Pangalin Uninstaller's free Leftovers scan lists files left behind by apps that are no longer installed, by name and size. Apple's files are never included. It also shows where each one is and moves the ones you choose to the Trash in one go, with Undo.
