How to uninstall Mullvad VPN on a Mac.

Mullvad can be removed by dragging it to the Trash, or with the uninstall script inside the app, which Mullvad says also removes its logs, cache and settings.

Uninstall Mullvad

Write down your Mullvad account number, in case you reinstall.
Drag Mullvad VPN from Applications to the Trash and empty the Trash. Or, for a fuller removal, run Mullvad's script in Terminal (below).
If you used the script, enter your Mac password when asked, then restart.

/Applications/Mullvad\ VPN.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall.sh

Afterwards

Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions for anything still named Mullvad; see login items. An app that's still in your Trash can stay listed there until you empty the Trash or restart; that's normal macOS behaviour.
Empty the Trash when you're sure. Emptying the Trash is permanent.

Then check for leftover VPN configurations: see removing leftover VPN settings.

Then check for anything Mullvad left behind.

Once the app is gone, Pangalin Uninstaller's free Leftovers scan lists files left behind by apps that are no longer installed, by name and size. Apple's files are never included. It also shows where each one is and moves the ones you choose to the Trash in one go, with Undo.
