How to uninstall BlueStacks on a Mac.

BlueStacks runs Android games and apps on your Mac, and its data, including installed games, can be large. BlueStacks has a built-in uninstaller that removes everything.

With BlueStacks' uninstaller

  1. Open BlueStacks Air.
  2. In the menu bar, click BlueStacks and choose Uninstall BlueStacks.
  3. Click Yes to confirm. BlueStacks says this removes the app and its files, with nothing left to clean up.

By hand

  1. Quit BlueStacks. In Finder, open Applications, right-click BlueStacks and choose Move to Trash.
  2. Choose Go › Go to Folder… and go to /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support.
  3. Move the BlueStacks folder to the Trash, then empty the Trash. This deletes your installed Android apps and their data on this Mac, permanently.

BlueStacks' guide covers BlueStacks Air. For the older BlueStacks for Mac, check BlueStacks' support site.

Based on the developer's own instructions, checked October 2026. Menu names can change between versions.

Then check for anything left behind.

Once the app is gone, Pangalin Uninstaller's free Leftovers scan lists files left behind by apps that are no longer installed, by name and size. Apple's files are never included. It also shows where each one is and moves the ones you choose to the Trash in one go, with Undo.
