How to save support information.
If we ask for it, a support file helps us see what happened on your Mac without remote access. It's a plain text file you save yourself, read if you like, and send only if you want to. The app never uploads it.
Save it
- In Pangalin Space Manager, choose Help › Save Support Information….
- Choose where to save it (for example, the Desktop) and click Save. Finder shows the file.
- Attach it to your email to hello@pangalin.com, or reply to our message with it attached.
What's in it
- The app and macOS versions, and whether Full Disk Access is on.
- The drives you have connected, with their format and free space, and what was scanned.
- How long each part of the last scan took.
- Your Pangalin Space Manager settings, including Space Watch.
- A summary of cloud folders and recent free-space snapshots.
- Recent actions: up to the last 300 lines of the action log, the same as History. These include the paths of files and folders you cleaned or moved, because that's usually what a storage problem is about.
What's not in it
- The contents of any file.
- Your licence key.
- The full list of everything the scan found.
It's plain text, so you can open it in TextEdit before you send it and remove any line you'd rather we didn't see.
