A CleanMyMac alternative that shows you what you're freeing.
Pangalin Space Manager frees space on your Mac, and the free Pangalin Uninstaller removes apps properly. Together they cost less per year than CleanMyMac, and they do some things it doesn't.
Why people choose Pangalin Space Manager and Pangalin Uninstaller
- Try it properly for free: the scan is free with no time limit, and so is your first 5 GB freed, not a 7-day trial.
- Duplicates merged, not deleted: every copy stays where it is, and the extra space comes back.
- Move big folders to an external drive (Photos libraries, iPhone backups, AI models, projects), checked before the original is removed and reversible from History.
- Real numbers: purgeable space and space macOS frees by itself are never counted as freed, and macOS's own caches are marked Caution, not junk.
- Uninstalling is free, with every feature, in Pangalin Uninstaller.
- $25 a year for every Mac you own.

Checked 10 October 2026 on cleanmymac.com, MacPaw's purchase options and the Mac App Store listing. Prices in US dollars; they vary by region. We make Pangalin Space Manager and Pangalin Uninstaller, so we're not neutral: every fact about another app comes from that developer's own pages, linked and dated. If something has changed, tell us and we'll fix it.
Fair to say
CleanMyMac also scans for malware, draws a visual map of your disk and updates your other apps, and its money-back period is longer. If you need those, it's a good app. If what you need is space, Pangalin Space Manager does more with it.
